Games to Feature Bill Perkins, Phil Galfond and Brian Rast Published on October 17th, 2017 8:21 pm EST After last week's shortened schedule of 'Poker After Dark' (the Thursday episode was cancelled), producers of the show have made it up to fans in a big way this week with the biggest cash games in the history of the show.
The Galfond Challenge continues, and the next opponent who is currently facing Phil Galfond is a poker player Bill Perkins. Perkins now has a very difficult task ahead of him. Not only must he beat Phil Galfond, but also make the 25,000 hands that the two are about to play as exciting as his predecessor “VeniVidi1993.”
Namely, the mysterious player really gave a headache to Galfond, who even tried to quit the challenge at one point, having lost more than $1,000,000. However, he eventually managed to beat VeniVidi1993, winning slightly more than $1,000.

However, it seems that a similar scenario is unlikely to happen with Perkins at the moment. After two days, Galfond is already leading by approximately $70,000. However, the two players still have a lot to play, and anything can happen after some time.
The rules are a bit different when it comes to Perkins compared to VeniVidi1993. Namely, Galfond is now laying $1 million against $250,000. The two players will either play 50,000 hands of poker or stop when there’s a $400,000 loss.
In other words, the winner is either the player who emerges a winner after 50,000 played hands or when one of the players loses more than $400,000.
After the first day, the two players played a total of 388 hands, and Perkins was overall better compared to Galfond, taking a lead with $1,561.86. However, the second day was more exciting, as Galfond took the lead with approximately $70,000 more.
